http://www.barnsleyfc.co.uk/page/Gallery/0,,10309~1502589,00.html Now it looks very much like Anderson is having his shirt pulled in the box while attempting a header. Penalty or what? Yet another example of a Ref getting it wrong!!! (doh)
it's a shame we can't attach the Anderson Photo to a email to send to the Referee's association and the FA asking for an explanation of why the referee's eye site was so bad he could see the shirt pulling going on. Those photo's could get the team in trouble, but frankly more power to the elbow of whoever put that together. It's a fantastic example of how **** the officials we get at oakwell are. Just a shame the offside decision photo doesn't show the full story
Why could that photo get the team into trouble? Its a photo of goalmouth action - its not the photographers fault that the ref despite looking in the right direction and with a clear view cant see the foul. Interestingly I just watched the highlights of the Blackpool v Wolves game - clear penalty for the big side for holding given - 2 equally clear penalties for the little site and the ref's eyesight went AWOL. The more matches I see them more I think there is an inbuilt bias in many refs for the "Big" side - from the premiership down
11 photos! this is the official site & there are 11 photos of match 'action'! i use the term 'action' but a football can be seen in only six of the photos. i don't want to sound like an advert for the new site but there were 80 plus photos on there and a lot quicker than it takes FPTV to get them onto the official site. i guess i'm going to subscribe to barnsley world sooner or later but the official site doesn't inspire you to put your hand in your pocket and sign up.
This might be really obvious to everyone but me but how do we know that the photo of Anderson having his shirt pulled is in their box and not ours?
Looking at the picture closely Darren Moore has got his hand on the offending shirt pulling arm. So maybe the ref thought it was six of one and half a dozen of the other. At the time I thought it was a pen.
We dont for sure But it looks as though Andersson is trying to head towards goal Problem is if the pictures are in any sort of sequence that would be first half and if so its in our box. But as there is no time on the piccy I cant say for sure that either. I guess if its in our box the ref may well have given a foul as we would be less likely to remember it
