on their forum they posted a link to their highlights from last night; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KcYZZaL7Oug Obviously they are a very very good team, with some very good players. However I fancy we may just nick it. Daniel Johnson, the lad they signed from Villa, is being hailed as their best every signing (after 9 games...) and he does have a cracking left foot and scores some screamers from central midfield. But watching these highlights he looks like a poor tackler, and puts them in trouble a couple of times. Very much like Hourihane when he was on his hot streak. goals can mask weaknesses. If they play him in a central two we need to get after him. Dont give him a second on the ball. Pearson and Scowen need to win the middle of the park. If we win the central midfield I think we could win the match. Would go 4-5-1 again. Will be without Milan, so try John or Jennings (if he's impressed Johnson in training) on the left. Smith back in at Left back. And Winnall up top on his own. We can't sit back and let them come at us, otherwise they have the players to smash us.
I You sound like that Lee Johnson bloke! Good points made though, I was puzzling on how we should approach the 4-5-1 without Milano. As for the best ever signings after 9 games, we do that too, then after 18 they are the worst signing every to grace our turf.
No idea what you mean about sounding like LJ. I just recognise the triggers on the grass, you know what I mean Really hope Johnson is just a flash in the pan. They got him for £50k! Which does seem like unbelievable business. They seem to be absolutely raving about him. Saying he's the best player in the league. Let's hope Conor shows them what the best attacking midfielder in the league really looks like!
