There's also a bloke from the Sheffield Star, Simon Meeks, who gives the following opinions:

"After beating Scnuthorpe United and holding Stoke to a goalless draw, our 3-2 win at Southampton last weekend saw us climb to seventh place".

"It was an outstanding display, and confidence is understandably high at the club".

"The jury was out for a while on manager Simon Davey after he took over in January, but he managed to steer us clear of relegation".

"Since then he's brought in 14 new players, and it seems to be paying off as this is our highest position for several seasons".

"After last year's narrow escape, the aim is to be in a position where the club are not constantly looking over their shoulder".

"If they are still up there after Christmas, there may be funds available to bring in a few more players and have a real crack at getting back in the Premier League".

How I'd love to be proved wrong but:-

Do people really think we look that good? I'd say better than last year but still top end of bottom half at best.

    1-1 for me tomorrow.

We don't look anywhere near that good to me

But, like you, I'd love to be proved wrong.

Why in the bottom right hand corner is there a Rupert/ Giant cat type thing looking over his/her/Its shoulder while clapping and seemingly "smirking"?

    RE: So's his endowment

Well spotted! I've seen that photo hundreds of times - it's my 19" screensaver for goodness sake - and have never noticed that.

Looks like Rupert the Bear but on closer inspection is a blonde-haired geezer who's on the playing side of the fence. It was in the 70's so he must have hurdled it to get at the Luton fans there :D

I've had a closer look at that photo now and am sure I can see Peter Sutcliffe in the top RH corner, Tom Jones slightly right of center towards the top and Jesus dead center! Always knew he was a Bluebird!!!
