Just seen a recent picture, bloody hell, looks he's been on the kebabs pretty much non-stop since he retired! He must weigh a good deal more than me, and I'm not skinny, plus I'm a good half foot taller than him!
He just kind of fell of the radar, so I hadn't seen any pics of him for ages. Not in Neil Shipperley's league for weight gain since retiring from professional sport, but definitely not far off.
Thirded. Awful, arrogant bloke. Used to go to St.Michael's Snooker Club in Wakey all the time. Amazing boxer, but even that career is blighted by the way he just gave in after defeat.
Great, exciting boxer to watch. I was in awe of him as a young lad growing up growing pubes etc. Until... I saw him knocked out in the real world, outside the ring. Got chelpy with a well known member of a well known hard case family from Elsecar and took a reight kicking before his pals stepped in. Long story. But I still found him exciting to watch in the ring. Then he lost to Barrera and that was that. I know he fought once more, but still, it was like he'd got a loss against him and ****** it off. Shame really, because as a boxer he was pretty good and will be remembered for years to come as one of the best ever from Britain. Proper lovely person though.
I think he realised how painful boxing could be at the top level and didn't have the heart for it. His rise to the top was exciting to watch though.
He was born in Sheffield. He's English. Enjoyed this: http://www.vice.com/en_uk/read/the-agony-and-the-ecstasy-of-prince-naseem
