I personally am not impressed with JCR at the minute, people say he covers every blade of the grass and its true but its because he runs round in circles and backwards and forwards, with speed like his he should be out on the wing running at full backs not trying to pick up the ball in his own half, and then when he does get it out on the wing he stops so he can beat his man four times. He reminds me of Joe Cole in his earlier days when he used to think he had to take on everyone on the pitch before getting into the box.

I agree. He's got no directness anymore.

And also, it seems every move we have has to go through him, even if theres others in far better positions.

good point, and shoots all the time for no reason, however, will run at a defence which is good

He needs to be played as a winger. He probably will when everyone is fit. Didn't have a good game today but can't knock his work rate.

I agree, but I thought he was one of our best players, as usual.

    Along with Hassell and Foster.

Way too deep alot of the time

He seems to want to collect the ball off Muller & be the playmaker & the scorer!
Love his willingness to run & run, but it just shows the voids we have in midfield when he is taking the ball from the keeper, and the other players are comfortable with him trying to start to run the show from back in his own penalty box. The other players need to take a bit more ownership. Can't rely on JCR to drive us forward all the time.

    God, I miss Disco. :'(

    Really good player BUT...

I'm fed up of seeing him on the edge of our own area as the last man trying to spray the ball around, or mid way inside our own half taking 3 men on.

It's a complete waste of a very good player a this level in my opinion.

    He's like Michael Flatley...

He's very good to watch. But he doesn't REALLY do all that much, and he get's paid nicely.

I think with JCR he gets frustrated when we're not doing well which is why he starts trying to do everything himself... we lacked the creativity today what Da Silva in particular gives us (though I'm calling Hassel Hasellinhio from now on), and I don't think he'd hog the ball as much when he's back. Can't fault his attitude but maybe Davey needs a word about that. He does work his little Jamaican knackers off though.

Hassel today was superb, still not a natural midfielder but the improvement from last year is massive.

I wasn't at the Preston match (or saw the Burnley goals) but is anybody really impressed with Cureton? I know he's a finisher but other than that he's lightweight and today didn't really get involved???

I agree, don't like him playing centrally. Much prefer him out on the wing running at players, without a doubt.
