I've been trying to remember the name of someone most of the day but it won't come to me. My Dad always makes reference to someone from the 50's or 60's, I think, who used to have his own DIY programme on the BBC. I seem to recall that he had one of those odd names where his first name could easily have been his surname, I think it might have been "Heath" but I can't be sure. I can't ask my Dad cos he's away for the week. I've had a search on the internet for him but can't find anything. Does this ring any bells with anyone?
RE: who is Barry Bucknall?........... nt He had his own TV programme in 62-3 modernising a semi in a South London suburb.
RE: Heath Robinson perhaps?? That was my first thought but I could only find the person that Spartacus has posted a link to. It could be Barry Bucknall but the name doesn't sound familiar although the scenario does. Maybe all the alcohol over the years has started to take effect & my brain is entering early senile dementia.
