Missing today. Steele should have had a cap on. It was obvious from kick off. Corners..... how many corners did we have today? I really fail to see why pro footballers are unable to consistently deliver a decent ball into the box. They should be able to get them inch perfect. Very frustrating.
Is Steele still the skipper! If so why? May work for Barcelona but Deffo not barnsley. Give it to Dawson when back on Tuesday ffs!
Steele didn't need a cap on first half as he had no sun in his eyes. He conceeded less in the second half when he finally did have the sun in his eyes. Very few players today deserve to play on tuesday, nevermind next saturday. I was expecting a big performance today to show we can bounce back and in the hope that the players would be trying really hard to make sure they start next saturday. Burnley/City games should see starts for the likes of Foster, Harewood and Mellis at the very least.
Jim O'Brien reckons he put the corners exactly where he was told to and it was the strikers who were ignoring instructions and not attacking where they were supposed to go
Yep cap needed and their keeper needed challenging for the corners, sun in eyes he rose unchallenged both him and Knight, too close to keeper maybe but lets put em under pressure, missed Foster int box today IMO.
Three corners in a row that he took straight into the six yard box where their keeper came off his line for easy claims (wish our keeper would do that). If that's where Flicker says to put corners we may as well never have a corner.
How stupid to not take a cap out in the glaring sun. O Brien put the ball straight to their goali, should have been aimed at least another 6feet out . I was in line with them in upper east.
I'll be glad when the cup run is over. I don't know if the players were distracted today but they weren't a shadow of the team before we drew city.
But you'd think they would think to themselves the better they play against Bolton/Burnley, the more chance they have of playing at one of the best grounds in the country, against the prem champions, in the last eight of the best cup competition in the world. That for whatever reason wasn't evident today.
Most of them know that their names will be on the teamsheet regardless; who will we drop them for. Whatever the reason they looked like they did under Hill today. We've slipped back into some of our bad old ways and that is worrying to say the least.
They're a shadow of the team from before because we lost Scott Golbourne. Too many people on here have vastly underrated him. We won against Wolves but looked uncomfortable in our shape, and we've conceded 8 in the 2 games that followed. He was outstanding defensively, knew the shape we wanted to play, and without him we're suffering. I was fearful when he got injured and we need to recruit externally, there isn't a replacement in the squad.
