Profound but fundamentally flawed That would only be "insane" in an enclosed, deterministic system. While there are external influences on the outcome then it's quite reasonable to expect different results from the same action. If I always bet heads on someone tossing a coin then I'd expect to get different results. But then again, I'm on holiday and so I've been down the pub already.
