Goalkeeper - Steele injured and out of form, so we get England's no. 2 in, who has been excellent.

Defence - was leaking goals at a rapid rate and now we seem to have got a much more stable unit and understanding in the back four. Could still improve at left back, but TK has done well enough these last few games.

Midfield - this is where I believe our problem lies. There is only McCourt who justifies his position, purely on his game changing ability. I am not convinced that Fox is bringing enough to the team and Perkins has been poor all season. Mellis, when fit, not producing the skill and form (and commitment) we know he can. Personally I would keep on with Fox sitting in front of back four, but we do need a box-to-box player to replace Perkins. Then give JOB, Cwyska, RNL, Mellis, Jennings (when fit and re-finds form) the other wide berth.

Strikers - COG and Pedersen are a good partnership, backed up with Scotland. I'm OK with this.

Conclusion is that we need more mobility and pace in midfield and have to look at replacing Perkins.

Perkins is Flickers lover boy though, so won't be seeing him shift any time soon.

Totally agree that midfield need sorting out though, unfortunately we already have a ton of midfielders!

For me McCourt needs to be playing in behind the strikers. O'Brien and RNl down the wings to attack and cover the full backs. Perkins or fox to sit just in front of the defence.

Put McCourt up front then he's got a few less players to dribble past!

Keepers: Butland is no more than 4th choice at best because he's not in the three that keep getting picked.

Defence: Lately we've played poorer teams. Lets see how we get on in the return fixtures against the likes of Watford, Wigan etc before we talk up defensive improvements.

Midfield: Alot agreed Dawson/Perkins are too similar to play in the same team but same can be said for Fox/Perkins so nothing has changed. The midfield is goal shy and will struggle to reach double figures between them all, all season.

Strikers: Instead of Scotland being the predictable choice of sub striker every game, maybe we should bring Dagnall back in because his energy against tiring defenders might just create something for us.
