I had to pick four "homes" on a football betting sheet with guaranteed odds of 10/1. I picked wins for Portugal, Germany, Holland and Spain. Holland beating Italy was the one I was least sure of. Anyway my fiver is worth 64 quid should Spain beat Russia tomorrow. It should happen yeah.....
I see, I think. So you would really benefit having a guarenteed 10/1 if you were putting bets on all the favourites then, while guarenteed 10/1 doesnt offer you any benefit when betting on the outsiders?
It means if you pick the four favourite 'home' teams on an accumulator list that you will get odds of 10/1, but you may not pick all the favourites and so get more than 10/1.
It does, you tend to get best of both worlds, but some of the bookies make it out so you've got the pick one fixture from section a, one from b, one from c etc. Say ManU, Arsenal & Chelsea were all at home these could be in the same section, making it harder to predict. However, if not, then you are guaranteed 10/1 even if you had Man U, Chelsea, Rangers and Celtic at home even if they were playin very inferior opposition, which would pay better then if you had the 4 teams in an accumuator. There is nothing to stop you picking outsiders, and if you did you'd get the better odds if they were infact better than the 10/1 offered.
