    They're two completely different things.

At the end of September I posted my opinion about our progression under Wilson. (link below)

At the time I thought it was non existent, we'd brought in a completely different crop of footballers yet we were still persisting with the Kennedy-O'grady tactic of last season. Even the games we picked up points in I thought we were very poor. It was as if Danny didn't really have any sort of plan or coaching philosophy.

Despite recent form, baring in mind that form has only been two games, I think our progression is there for all to see.

Since Notts County at home I've seen definite progress, I can now see what Danny is trying to achieve with this group. We've got a definite style of play and anyone who knows there football should be able to see that. At times we knock the ball around better than anything I've seen in years watching BFC. We look comfortable on the ball and our build up play is clever, looking to draw the opposition out of position before making a move on goal. We demonstrated our ability to do that again with another brilliant goal on Saturday.

For me that progression in our style of play has been enough for me to be pleased with what Danny has achieved so far.

That being said, the last 2 games have been awful. Our defence looks weaker than ever, but I think that all stems from our weaknesses in midfield. I dont think I've seen a midfielder put in a decent tackle in all season. In fact I'd be interested to too our stats on successful tackles as i imagine we'd have one of the worst percentages in the league.

But we've got to trust that Danny see's all this too. He's not daft, he knows we need some bite in midfield. I imagine he's told Bailey that if he doesn't toughen up soon, his quality on the ball wont be enough to keep him in the side.

We've got to accept that we're going to be inconsistent this season. A top 10 finish would be a success. Give Danny time to bring in the players that suit the framework hes now implemented.

He's had one transfer window during a pre-season to put a full squad together, its not an easy task. Theres no benefit of hindsight. The beauty of the January window is that signings can be made based on our weaknesses throughout the first half of the season. I'm confident that given time we'll see players come in who help us build on the improvements we've already seen.
