There's a decent set of players there for us, if we play it right.

Steady on lads, you're not supposed to say anything good about England on here.
It's the in thing not to care about our national team anymore.

We got the ball on the deck and attacked them. At times we looked vulnerable on the counter attack but made sure we were always going to score more than we conceded. Why don't we play like that against everyone, we'd have won by a cricket score in every qualifier we've played so far if we played like that. Rather than passing it along the back 4 for 90 minutes like we did against Estonia.

Agreed, so refreshing. And I credit Scotland as much as England for the way the game was played. In the space of about 10 seconds Shaun Maloney was clattered with two proper challenges, first from Rooney and then Welbeck. Both knocked him up in the air and deposited him on his arse. He didn't stay down for a second, didn't complain to the ref, didn't get mouthy with the opposition, just got on with it. Well done lad. If he put a hard tackle in later when one of our forwards had the ball - good for him. Hourihane - take note.

I hadnt intended to watch but stuck it on whilst planning to do other stuff and actually finished up sitting and watching it. It was a really enjoyable game - special mention to the Ref who seemed keen to let the game flow as well

Some quality goals - especially Englands 3rd goal and some good football played properly. Best "friendly" I have seen for a while
