The lads stuck to their task, refusing to compromise their footballing beliefs and were quite rightly rewarded with a superb equaliser. Whilst the quality of our play was a bit below previous performances, I really enjoy watching this team play. Dawson's goal was superbly struck, after a wonderful pass from the excellent Mellis. In fact, only a great save from their goalie stopped him grabbing a stunning second a few minutes later. I believe Dawson's display thoroughly warranted his Man Of The Match award.
As for Trevor Kettle, good grief. I'm totally opposed to blood sports and hunting, but I'd make an exception were he the quarry!:D

I thought we were quality considering a mistake gifted em a goal, they sat back all game and an appalling ref (for both sides).

Wasn't particularly happy hearing the usual 'gerrit forward' brigade though. No wonder Keef called us all w@nkers last year.

If we stick to our footballing principles

I believe we'll be fine this season. Patience is the key.
Endeavour. And so on and so forth.

I'm not often wrong Kev as you know but I thought it was Golbourne who supplied the pass for Dawson's goal.

I've just seen the goals on SSN and it was definitely Mellis!
You did that on purpose just so that I'd question my sanity! I never realised you had an evil side to your nature!!:D:D

They drive me barmy, what don't they understand, keep the ball, make them work to get it, they can't score when we have the ball, just before we scored the ball was played backwards, cue moans all round, then bump, bump, bump get in. Simples. Just be patient, it won't always work but I find it nice to watch.

And when we did keep that ball, the useless 'unt reffing the game simply couldn't give soft free kicks against us. I still can't believe he's still allowed to ref games.
