Which is the best football game around for the Playstation 2 ?
I haven't played on any for years and the last one would have been on my pc.
    Any suitable recommendations much appreciated.
    TIA

For the 360, FIFA beats PES this year. And I'm usually a PES fan.

    dont talk daft

im the first to admit pes has it flaws on 360. In waht way is fifa better? if we are talking licences then thats just silly. Gameplay is where its won and lost as in football on the field is what counts. Fifa is a slow tidous affair, awful to play mind numbly dull. Pro evo while perhaps a little too fast and free scoring is a hell of a lot more fun to play. Maybe im over simplyfying because i actually like to enjoy playing on games.

Sorry, forgot we aren't allowed opinions on here.

Haven't played on PES that much but I prefer FIFA at the minute, maybe that opinion will change if I play PES a bit more.

IMHO Fifa is 10times the game PES is, probably because its got real names etc. which i really dislike on PES. I think you can change them like but i wnt to buy a game to play not to change things on.

pro evo has all the real

player names and there face's look "10times" more realistic that the melting faces of fifa. The gameplay on fifa is awful. And the horrible having to scroll all the way up and down the player list when changing the team, and you have to change the whole team as they are nackered after 2games. Once the laggy online 360 play is fixed like last time will be a great experience

Is it better playing PES or FIFA, or is it worth looking at a "manager" game ?

personally prefer pes and fifa coz you get to do all the transfers but don't have to do all the more tedious manager stuff like setting ticket prices

    on console go with

playing the game, manager games usually have clumsy menus on consoles so id say stick to playing. Now football manager on pc, well there is another story

What a terrible reason that is to prefer a game. They do have real player names on PES, it's only English team names that are wrong (with the exception of 2 Premier League teams). Fifa is slow, and lacks the fluidity of PES. It's still a long way behind PES, and when the patch has been released it will confirm it imo.

You could simply download an official update off the net, or buy one off ebay.
