Best way is to use a wireless router If you don't already have one they're dirt cheap from PC world. I am guessing you have broadband.
You need to find the receipt, go to wherever you bought it, and get an xbox instead!
Then get the wireless adapter, xbox live subscription and a wireless router (if you don't already have one) and Bob's your uncle

bobs not my uncle... toyed with the idea of an xbox but stayed with the playstation..cant be doing with the weird controller and to your question harrow, yes i do have broadband
So all you need to do is... ...get a wireless router thats compatible with your BBprovider. Its easy to find out on the net, but failing that PC World will tell you.
There are 2 ways to connect the PS3 - wired and wireless. If your PS is close to the modm, just buy an additional ethernet cable, plug it in the modem and PS then go to Network set up and follow the instructions for wired connections. Alternatively you can plug the ethernet into the PC, set the PC up to share the internet connection and then set the PS3 up under netwrok connections. Alternatively as others have stated, buy yourself a wirelsss router, set it up and choose Wireless connections on the PS3's network set up. Unfortunatekly the PS3 hasn't got a brilliant wireless receiver so if you have to put the router at the other side of the housee to the PS, I'd think about buying some homeplugs. They do the same thing as a router only they use the elctricity circuits in the house to route the signal. Bloody brilliant they are too.
Two options 1) Use wireless if you have a wireless LAN or 2) Plug in the LAN cable from your router to the PS3 LAN connection at the back of the PS3 Down side to 2 is obviously the router needs to be near the PS3 If you don't have a router then you could be stuck.
