i emailed 8 pubs yesterday to see what the crack is with pubs at wembley, they all say the same its either a Cardiff pub or a barnsley pub, looks like there is no chance of any of us meeting up for some footy blah blah and a few beers, im taking my 7 year old so was hoping to meet up with a few other fathers doing the fatherly thing and swapping some footy stories with you all...but looks as if the wembley pubs have decided not to let us meet up, i understand if there was history between our clubs, but lets face it most of us are out for a good day and it would have been nice to meet up......any ideas
That's A Shame Mixed pubs are better, because as you say you can swap stories about your clubs and exchange friendly banter.
Sorry to say that seems reasonable Have seen a bit of trouble between the two sets of fans in the past. It's a shame for the decent fans like the majority of us on here -and you and one or two other Cardiff fans that come on here - but you can understand why they do it.
RE: Sorry to say that seems reasonable yeah true but like you said a small minority in the past have left bad tastes in a lot of peoples mouths so the think thats the best thing to do.....but hey who know perhaps on the day both set of fans may find a pub that will take both sets of fans and we can prove them all wrong.
I'm sure On the day mate it'll be ok like it was in 2000 when we played Ipswich, just a sea of Red an Blue everywhere, those memories will stay with me forever.
I really hope so mate Hope a meet can be sorted out - if not have a great day at Wembley and enjoy the experience ( but hopefully not a win )
guy who calls himself Bluebird been coming on here for a couple of years, good bloke, if wembley way is as impressive next week as 2000 i will be happy, blue one side, red the other and no bother, really good friendly atmosphere
its good to go on a message board where both set sof fans respect each other and not slating each other....unless in jest of course
your on, always welcome at cardiff fella, can you pm on here? ill send you my email and we can arrange it
In 2000 I was in a pub packed with Reds fans and four Ipswich fans, they didn't stop singing and were stood in front of the toilets so everyone went past them and gave them banter, it was a great day though. Good memories but I'm not sure Cardiff have the same reputation as Ipswich.
RE: That's A Shame Are you on this planet?? You seriously expect Barnsley & Cardiff to share a pub after what happened in 2002/03
