Parking: I'm going on the train and so dunno.
Pubs: Been told Bankers Draft. My mate who knows Sheffield well, won't tell me where he's taking us to drink though and I don't know the city centre

If you're going on the train, i'd suggest getting a early one and then you will be less likely to be part of the group rounded up at the station and made to go somewhere without any say.

 

15 minutes walk if that. Come out of the station walk up past the fountains,turn left and keep following the road that runs past leadmill

Dont know Sheff very well at all, hardly go there!

 

If you want to avoid being rounded up...

..get off the train at meadowhall and take the tram to the city centre

I believe trains arrive from Barnsley into Sheffield at half past the hours and so from 11:30 i'd expect police to be around. Get the train that arrives in Sheffield at 10:30 and leaves Barnsley at 10:00.

 

10 mins to ground from station , 10 mins into ............

........ city centre from station, 15 mins from city centre to ground, on average, but it's a big city mate so can be longer depending where you are!

Pubs near ground, be careful, it can be dodgy, as can the walk to the ground from the station and especially the walk back in the dark.

Generally you will be ok for a beer in most places with no badges/colours on if not in a big group and you keep your gob shut but just be aware it's not the most welcoming of places to visit

So you're hoping the 2pm train is on time, arrive 2:30 and the walk to the ground, to be there for ten to three lol.

 

Isn't it easier just to change trains at Meadowhall. Must be 1 every 10 mins from Platform 1. Prob contain both Sheff U and Barnsley fans, so can't be seperated, and all the hooligans will already be mooching around Sheff.
