Went in town on Saturday night for the first time in a long time. We didn't go in 'til 10pm ish...the place was dead! Like a ghost town. It was like a Monday night. It only seemed to fill up (a little) after 12. I thought it might have been busy with it being pay day weekend!

How are the pubs and bars staying open?!

I thought folk started round the town hall bars and moved down towards Wellington Street has the night got on, go on Wellington St before 10pm and its dead. Go up to White Bear after 10 and its dead. January's a **** month - most are skint, some are not drinking for January and some aren't paid until last working day.

Saying that l can count on one hand the number of nights out in tarn l've had over the past few years.

No idea. Definitely not at work, though. Honest.

January/February has been dead for years. Seemed to pick up spring and summer, although not to extent it once did. Not been out for a while so no idea if it's changed much, but I wouldn't take last week as a barometer.

True - wasn't the best choice of weekend to go out on (but it's when my birthday lands!) but has always been busier previous years.
You're probably right with the weather DT; was like been on Blacky front in Oct!

It's weird - early doors you're up in Bramahs/7 or on Shambles Street, then move on up towards Corner Pin/upstairs in Chambers but then I always end up in Opium, next to Treadles.

I was sat in't Number 7 at half 10 Friday night - I was praying for a lock in.
