I'm going out for a few beers in Leeds tomorrow night.

I like real ale and a pleasant atmosphere.

    I don't like loud music.

Any suggestions for pubs / bars within walking distance of the station?

Paul means 'The Victoria' which is a decent beer pub, there's also a Wetherspoons in the Station, and if you go out of the main doors, cross the pedestrian crossing and go down the steps there is the Scarborough Arms which I believe has some hand pulled ale including Barnsley Bitter.

I hunted around and found Scarborough Hotel and Whitelocks both just of Briggate (is that the main pedestrian area?). Town Hall Tavern is also recommended

Maybe try the Packhorse near the university. Usually quiet (especially this time of year), and some decent ales too.

The Grove would be my recommendation for this one. It's right behind Bridgewater House so about 5 mins walk from the station. best real ale pub in Leeds IMHO. Scarborough is great too, and the Adelphi isn't too far from the station either...

    The Adelphi's magic

Just like the Scarborough but with more class and a better crowd.

Favourite pub in Leeds bar none.
