For those at the match, did dribbling the ball in the area feel like the right thing to do at the time? What if posh had equalised? It could have gone down as very foolish!
To be honest it didnt really sink i what he was doing until I was chatting with town fans in the pub after
I had no idea he'd even done that until I got home and saw it mentioned online! Was quite surreal, at that time it seemed no-one was watching the field and were just desperately trying to find out what was going on elsewhere.
Like others said, I had no idea it was happening. I was desperately trying to get confirmation of the Peterborough score, and also had one eye on the Huddersfield fans who were about to invade the pitch. I honestly thought the ball was out of play. Crazy day.
I had the thought of Peterborough equalising in the back of my mind, but I had no idea how long they had left to play there. It's irrelevant now anyway, we're staying up!
Was all very surreal. Ref telling Novak to chase the ball down, their full back sat down, their centre half shouting at Luke to kick it out for a throw in, everyone round us shouting 'it's still not full time at palace'. Crazy crazy afternoon

Would have been funny to see the two keepers kicking it to each other over the outfield players all stood in the centre circle.
I was just so focused on the fact that Palace had scored and we looked safe, and celebrating that whilst Steele was keeping the ball, that it never occurred to me at the time that it was a risk. Only occurred to me later in the evening when the point was raised on one or two reports, including Manish on Football League show - sent a shiver down my back to think about the consequences. It would have been like the day we beat Middesborough and thought we were in the play offs until Brighton scored.
My mate was bricking it when steele did that, he said 'the fa will do something about this', i said well the refs not bothered so it doesnt matter! !!!
I suppose it was a gamble but if we had played on there was a risk that Huddersfield might have scored and we would definitely have got relegated.
Not sure they can. The ball was live. Could be classed as a little unsporting at worst, but in theory, the goalie could play keepy-uppy with a live ball for 90 minutes if no player came to challenge him.
