Fifa admit that all stadiums to be used in the world cup will be air conditioned to create good playing conditions yet they also say that the world cup needs to be moved to winter because it is too hot to play in. 'Not in the stadiums but elsewhere'.

Can anyone explain to me where the **** else they are planning on playing matches during the world cup other than in the stadiums?

I suspect he is referring to the training camps

The concern is for the health of the tens of thousands of visitors who they fear will be wandering around in 40-50 degree heat dropping like flies.

That is only the new concern after they realised people aren't idiots. The original concern that they were using right up until that pillock Greg Dyke got involved was for the safety of the players playing in the heat

That is a very poor excuse though because the training camps are up to the teams and they should be responsible for ensuring that they choose to play somewhere air conditioned. In the grand scheme of things it'd cost next to nowt to knock up an indoor pitch with air conditioning.

Any idea what the drinking situation is? Been telling myself I'm going to go a World Cup, even if it's only to watch games from the 'Fan Zones' but I can't imagine it being much fun without a beer.

The original bid included alcohol being legal in special areas set up for fans but considering the original bid included the world cup being held during the months of the world cup and not the middle of winter it could well have changed.

If Blatter and FIFA had not typically made a balls of it in first place then we would not have the situation. It is unbelievable what has happened

This is corruption in its most blatant form they managed to pull the bid off behind the scenes and now they are trying to compete the puzzle of winter w/c football methinks a lot of money and favours are being bandied about to complete the heist.
If they manage this it will be complete misery for the European nations that don't qualify or get knocked out in the very early stages with no national or domestic team to follow

I blame climate change. The average temperature in the Middle East region must have shot up since the original decision was made

What gets me is that the weather in Qatar hasn't changed in the 2 years or whatever since they were given the world cup, so why is this issue only being raised now. The whole thing stunk from the moment they were awarded the finals.
