me and my mate went to sheffield to book the train tickets for QPR (sheffield to St Pancras). jesus christ East Midland trains are the worst company in the world. been trying for over 2 weeks to get through to group booking and when I finally did only got told that group booking applies to groups of 50+ to qualify for any discounts. It would have cost us £20 per person MORE to book through group travel than to book standard single tickets. is anyone else going on the train and how much have you paid? EMT = (wnkr)
East Midland are ***** - use em for work pretty regular and the trains are *****. Just looked, £58.50 return or get a 16-25 railcard and it's £38.80. Set off at 9 and return from St Pancras at 18:25 or 19:25.
i booked with national express from selby to kings cross (calls at donny) £76.80 for three adults and a child on the rail card! but u can still get cheapish tickets online even without a rail card. Around thirty quid
It's probably cheaper to book single tickets out and back... than to book a return ticket. Try it out. It's weird.
