RAY JONES Posted on: Sat 25 Aug 2007 Queens Park Rangers Football Club is in mourning today following the tragic news that striker Ray Jones died in a motor accident in the early hours of Saturday morning. The 18 year-old was involved in an accident in East Ham and was pronounced dead at the scene. The collision occurred at approx 00:20am on Saturday August 25 in High Street, South East Ham, E6. Everyone at Queens Park Rangers extends their deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Ray at this sad time.
Only Two Days Ago.......... QPR turned down a 200,000 bid for him from Colchester. As he been playing for them this season? Two young teenage football players dead in a matter of days http://www.qpr.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10373~1099354,00.html
I guess I just don't understand why somebody's profession suddenly makes their death a whole lot worse. Sure it's sad but "Two young teenage football players dead in a matter of days " is like saying their deaths are more important than all the other people who have died in the last few days. It's the same with the young lad from Liverpool who's been murdered. yes that's sad but the way he has been labelled "football fan" and "football loving" etc by the media as if that makes some kind of difference and suddenly changes his death somehow seems absolutly crazy to me. The papers wouldn't refer to him as "fan of romantic comedys" if that was what he happened to like yet as soon as its football a big deal is made about it. Same goes for when a good looking girl is murdered, there is a big outcry about how somebody could do such a thing to somebdoy so good looking, it's almost as if theyre saying their life is worth more. I can just see them reporting on the death of a less attractive girl "ah well, at least she was a munter, probably a blessing in disguise"
Very promising striker I believe a few bigger clubs were linked with him recently . Very sad whatever his profession to go at that age.
your parents must be extremely proud of you, and the warm humane person you have turned out to be. you disgust me.
So just to get this right then because I think it's sad when anybody dies regardless of how they look or what they do for a living then that makes me inhumane?
