The very reason, I wanted em to lose to Derby in the play offs. When oh when are footy clubs going to start acting with their brains!! Tell yer what old Redknapp's gotta take some blame that's another club, he's piled into with transfers
Because this is a football league rule and the rule break incurred whilst QPR were in the football league, and Man City are governed by the PL.
Once more 'Arry is about to leave a club in financial ruin. Bournemouth, West Ham , Pompey and Southampton have all suffered before, with only Spurs pulling the rug before it was too late. I would absolutely pi55 myself laughing if they went straight from the Premiership to the Conference. But it won't happen. If they went down I'm sure the Premiership would bale them out. There's no wonder so many of us have fallen out of love with football.
I'd pi$$ myself silly if they went straight down to conference, but i actually like Fernandes. He doesn't seem like your 'typical' foreign owner, he actually has a love for the game and the club. I really do think he wants the best for QPR, and he's not just in it to make a quick $$$.
They only get relegated to the confrence if they don't pay the fine. While they are in the PL they won't pay and the FL can't touch them as the PL is run by the PL. When they get relegated they then come back under the regulation of the FL. At that point they will come to an agreement, QPR will pay a smaller fine and they will carry in the Championship. As LDRed said, it just won't happen.
For me, doesnt seem right to have rules for the Premier League and rules for the Football League. Its the same game/sport, we adopt the same rules on the field, so why not adopt the same rules off the field. Probably because the higher up the financial ladder you go, the more corrupt it becomes.......sport and business alike?
Absolutely no chance of any action being taken against QPR. There could be some sort of small fine. Problem is, there's no real appetite to punish clubs for behaviour like this. The FL would rather punish Accrington for going into administration over £50,000 then try and force them out of existence.
what would be a great idea, but wouldn't happen in a million years due to the premier league money chasing bosses, would be if/when they get relegated every championship side agreed to forfeit both games, or at least the away game to give qpr fans some football, yes it'd give them a 3-0 win and reduce it to 2 teams for promotion but a year without playing a competitive match? it would send out a massive statement.
Why Chelsea? They have lived in their means for a while now. Roman isn't funding them anywhere near as much as last time. Look how in 2014 alone they have lowered their wage bill and funded cheaper new signings by getting rid of Mata, Lampard, Torres Lukaku and Luiz. They got Costa and Fabregas for something like 16 million quid less than they made selling Luiz/Lukaku. Excellent bit of business to not be dependent on the owner. Cech will probably be the next big earner gone.
I say this because of Mourinho, came in and just spent and spent and spent. They shouldn't need to spend a lot until a few seasons. They should be winning the league/cups easily.
