Nowt against them but I have issues with the idiots who blatantly charge up and down our village causing a danger to innocent folk just going about their daily business. 3 people sadly lost their lives early this morning near Upton on one. Thoughts and prayers with their families at this terrible time.
Driver and passenger of vehicle quad bike collided with being held on suspicion of dangerous driving. Your post implied the people on the quad bike were to blame.
owners should be prosecuted if no tax and insurance and being ridden on public roads.....I have to pay tax and insurance, why shouldn't they? hth
No idea who the blame lies with. What I do know is Upton has a problem with idiots on quads and off road bikes charging about!!
There are a few in my village as well. They roar up and down the streets because Bircotes does not have any speed bumps. Really noisy and quite dangerous to other people. I don't care about the riders's safety - they shouldn't be doing it! The local police have a column in the parish magazine and appeal for information about these vehicles often. I saw one going into the driveway of a house a couple of weeks ago and almost rang the police to tip them off. I didn't but it was a close thing.
The three people who died were all on the same quad bike, on the road, why? The only sympathy from me are to their loved ones. It was only a year ago a young lad died on a quad in Upton, and this was 3 years AFTER he had previously come off a bike in the same spot not wearing a helmet. Idiots who deserve no sympathy.
Update: 4th person has just died in hospital, so it looks like there were 4 people on the quad bike. Terrible.
Another update: the four who died were all friends with the guy who died from a quad accident in Upton last year. How they get their hands on quad bikes in the first place is beyond me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
