in a past post i said id been told we have enquired about beckford , but it seems Leeds cant afford to pay the wages.so im guesssing hes wanting 15000 plus, is that out of our league, simon cox celtic reported as willing to pay over 2 million, ricky lambert will cost 1.5+, rasiak maybe the answer maybe get him on the cheap, but what will he want wages ? hes good in the air proven goalscorer in this division.

The Cox fee is all agent's speak at the moment. Watch the actual price come down to a realistic one - a bit like the fee for Brian Howard, after the talk of £10 million; then £2/3 million etc. Cox will move this summer for a realistic fee for a player who has not played above Division One (no first team apprearances at Reading).

    Where A Strikers Concerned

Who can get 20+ goals a season money shouldn't be a issue

Problem is we can't put all our eggs in one basket

We're stuck between a rock and a hard place. Say we spent $2m on a player and $15K wages. If he gets crocked, we're rooted. If he turns out to be like Davey's other striker signings, i.e. no goals or no opportunities (unlikely), we're rooted. We need cover for postions, but then we get quantity, not quality.

Supposidly 20k a week for phillips and in relation to the cox price comin down all I would point out is nicky maynard, he scored far less goals and still went to bristol for a fine fee

    People from Barcelona are Catalonians

The Basque region is around Bilbao to the North of Spain
