    Hi guys,

First of all apologies for intruding on your site, I'm just looking to do a bit of research on football fans.

Were launching a cashback website this month, similar to all the usual ones like Quidco where you make your normal online purchases from all the major high street retailers at the same price etc and receive cashback on your purchases.

However what we are going to do is not only pay cashback to the person but also to the club they support really to try and support clubs and give them an extra revenue source.

I am not trying to plug the site, I was just looking for some general feedback if this was something that you would be interested in as fans?

    Thanks again

I don't think you've given us enough info to comment on. What e-commerce sites would it be affiliated with?

What portion of cashback goes to the buyer and what portion to the club?

Quidco give ALL the cashback to the consumer so how could you compete with that?

What I mean is if quidco are offering 5% cashback on something (which is all the cashback) then how could you compete in the consumers interest? If the most you could offer was 5% but some of that would be going to the club then the end user is losing out. I can see the benefit for the clubs as they get money for nothing but I dont see any benefit for the end as they are losing money compared to quidco.

Also how will you be making money? Will it be via a charge like quidco or will you be taking a further cut out of the cashback? Or will it be some other way?

Appreciate the feedback guys there would be a 50/50 split between person and the club.

We will be using major retailers for example play, Argos, tesco, next.

I realise that some people would rather get 100percent cash back on sites like quidco but our take is if this is used by a large group of fans the common benefit for is the club substantial. Maybe there will not be as big a take up as I expected iam one of those fans who buys my strips from the club shop even if it costs a tenner more than sports direct because it's gonna benefit my club

Don't get me wrong I don't think it's a bad idea at all but I do think that a lot of people will be put off by the shared commission because (and I'm guessing here) I think that the kind of person who can be arsed to mess around with commission sites is the kind of person who wants that commission themselves. There are exceptions of course but I think the majority will fall into that category.

I can see where your coming from that's why were trying to gauge opinion. May be more popular if all the commission went to the club?

Possibly but schemes like that already exist.

Supports trusts have such sites for example.
