    That makes the maximum <span style="font-style: italic;">break</span> 155.
    If you completed the break, your <span style="font-style: italic;">score</span>, however, would be at least 159, since a foul stroke would add anywhere from 4 to 7 points to it.

    Sorry I meant break...

    I can see the mis understanding.</p>

    The 155 comes from: player 1 fouls and leaves a freeball situation.</p>

    Player 2 pots the free ball and then clears all blacks with reds and the colours.</p>

    Total 155.</p>

    The world record is 151 by a bloke from Darfield called Steve Duggan</p>

    In that case the maximum score is unlimited

    As the player 1 could keep fouling for ages, player 2 fails to pot for ages, building up player 2's score. Then player two could make his 155 break.
