Has anyone done an exchange and completion on same day. Its happening for me tomorrow , the solicitor and buyer of my house are morons and exchange should of taken place today. Removals coming at 9am. Been a proper stresshead day. Moving from nr rhyl to a little village called Gwespyr .
I did a same day move. I left Greasbrough at 6 am. Went to work and got a text not to come back at 9:30 am. I was back at my mum and Dad's by 4:45 pm.
It's become a lot more common over recent times. Not unusual, nothing to worry about too much, but pester your own conveyancer to get the job done asap tomorrow for your own peace of mind.
I think exchange and completion on the same day are pretty much the norm nowadays. It's a bit confusing to lay people, because nothing seems to move for a few weeks, then everything happens at once.

I usually go for simultaneous exchange and complete on sales/purchases I deal with. Normal practice these days unless there's specific reason not to.
Happens sometimes yep, I’d say most of my clients exchange before completion but it should be fine; good luck!
I’ve tended to exchange slightly ahead but I know others have exchanged and completed same day, not a complex thing to do so you’ll be fine.
