If we lose at home tomorrow night how much longer are you prepared to keep Davey in a job, i mean we are more or less at the end of October and we are in the bottom three, conceding stupid goals, not looked like winning an away game all season and are playing some of the most negative football since Paul Hart was in charge.
Simple question when is enough enough for you?

he should have been sacked weeks ago but for reasons that i fail to comprehend certain people allowed fluke results to cloud their judgement. A win at home against a team who hadn't won a game for over a year was apparently a good result and meant that all the defeats could be ignored. 30 minutes of good football against a doncaster side that gave up meant that the previous 60 minutes of that game and the rest of the season could be ignored. Two victories in the FA cup meant that an entire season of zero progress and baffling tactics got ignored.
As someone once wrote on here the chances of Barnsley winning games under Davey is the same as throwing a 6 with a dice i think that basically sums him up brilliantly
Shouldn't be IF we lose on Tuesday, more like WHEN! Honestly though, we need far more bite in the midfield. At the moment we don't have anyone that is prepared to get stuck in or do the nasty stuff. Sheff Wed will walk all over us if we don't bring Colace in. Crystal Palace bossed the game and knew we wouldn't give it back.
I don't see what good sacking him will do... ...unless the board are prepared to substantially financially support his replacement.
Cue abuse.

You can't just pay someone indefinitely, who is consistantly performing badly at the expense of your business can you? Replacement or not, I'm sure we could perform equally as badly without a team talk to be honest.
No abuse required. It will be very hard to sack him cos he has assembled such a rag, tag and bobtail team of Jonny Foreigners that any new manager would find it nigh on impossible to work with them.
This is why I am intrigued about the Fjortoft rumours. An international who has played in a few different countries "may" be qualified to turn them into a semblance of a team. Apart from that .......... who knows who'd want to inherit the current squad. Like you say, a lot of managers may be attracted to Barnsley IF they could perform an entire overhaul. Which as you also point out, would cost a hell of a lot of dosh.

For me on paper we don't have a bad squad, so the next thing you look at is why aren't they performing? Is it tactics? Is it the coaching? Is it lack of motivation?
That is my point bfcbub, should be SD that does all of those things. It is clear to everyone that something is missing / not happening.
fair comment but if we win by a large margain will he be given any time or credit by the haters or will it simpley be a case of when we loses next he has to go! Simple question will you get behind if we win or will you go to every match jumping on the players back as soon as something goes wrong and start the davey out chants?
One result doesn't change a thing. Take the Doncaster game, last 30 minutes we look good and everyone played part of a team. Turn to Palace and we looked out of shape tactics wise, quite a few individual errors - something that we have seen far too often. For opinions to change we need a decent run in terms of performances and results.
In the past i've been happy to get rid of most managers when they have actually been sacked, but this time I've wanted to give Davey more time, personnel-wise I think we have been getting stronger year on year, and Davey can be praised for that. Unfortunately after our terrible start, the appalling performance on Saturday, and also our abysmal away form I find it very hard to defend the guy now. The players seem to be behind him which is definitely something in his favour, unfortunately it's a results based business and he is failing miserably. If we could get Billy Davies lined up now, I'd get shut of Davey now tbh. Can't think of (m)any other managers I'd want.
