What are your reasons for thinking he should keep his job? For me he should have been sacked on Wednesday morning - why do think otherwise?
This will be good. Cue the usual insults... You're stupid, you know nowt about football, we need continuity, he kept us up the last two seasons, he took us to wembley, blah blah effing blah. I cant imagine there are many members of the Davey love children gang left.
I'm not Pro-Davey or anti-Davey but I think he's the right man for the job. There have been some decent signings, good results, he's kept us in the Championship twice when we're possibly the smallest club in the division and I think with him in charge we won't go down. I don't understand what will be achieved by sacking him. If we're in this same predicament this time next season then I think 3 years in charge and no progression would be time for him to go we've changed too many managers too quickly over the last 10 years. it doesn't bring success
why do you have to love him to not want the club to sack its manager in the middle of a relegation battle?
RE: I'm not Pro-Davey or anti-Davey but we are nowhere near the smallest club in the championship and the good results are very rare - that's the bloody problem with him
I'm only mocking dont worry I'm not questioning your sexuality. Many of the pro Davey supporters accuse us of being anti Barnsley which is untrue. The way they defend Davey appears like they are jumping to the defence of a partner.
-Theres Nobody better around that would come to us. -He's proved he can keep us up in the past. -He's done well on majority on transfers with limited money. -We have a good enough squad to keep us up so long as another striker is signed tomorrow. -Changing manager's at this stage would be suicide. -We try to play football in the right way. Why does everybody have to be branded as one side of the argument or the other, i take no side and be honest rather than backing one corner. However i do get fed up of people on here moaning for the sake of moaning, so much so i have decided to stop coming on when we are not in the transfer window. To many on here Davey can do no right likewise in that he can do no wrong. But i feel sorry for him, he's not intentionally going out there to lose games is he? anybody who believes the club arn't trying to sign quality players are daft. Its hard for us we are probably in the bottom 3 clubs for financial backing in the league so attracting players is not easy, the 20 goal a season striker proven at this level we all want will never be signed, they cost too much money and demand wages way out of our league, the only thing we can do is gamble on foreign, lower league and out of favour players, its the only thing we can do. Some will come off some won't. Granted Davey has his bad sides, if we go a goal down he's so tactically inept at changing a game we may as well throw the towel in (lack of a lot quality players doesn't help!). Plus it has to be said sometimes he is stubborn and doesn't tell the whole story i.e. johnson and kim. His persistance with Odejayi has gone way too far and a considerable amount of money has been wasted. However i would be interested to see if the value of the good players he has brought in out weighs the bad ones which i believe they probably do i.e Muller, De Silva, Foster, JCR, Colace, Kozluk. In my opinion Davey has to stay, will get slaughtered by the moaners for this but he is young so he will make mistakes but i believe season on season progress will be shown and we will stay up comfortably finishing higher than last season. We are only 2 or 3 players off having a really good squad here which i think on our budget is remarkable in this league, we can't forget this league is getting bigger and better every season look at the quality of teams now to when we first came up!. Most of all though, there is not one manager out there that would even think about coming to us i.e. wages, club size etc that could take us forward from what Davey is doing. Any sacking would be step in the wrong direction. Any questions i will happily answer from the Davey out group as no doubt i will now be branded as one of Davey's many love children.
ok young sir i will refrain from overt friendliness as it is clearly frowned upon my personal definition of what makes a club bigger than another is size of fanbase, history, average attendance, honours won, national reputation, wealth of club, ability to attract players not sure how FM09 work theirs out
and from the premier league I simply do not see that.. Fulham,Wigan,Hull,Stoke or Bolton. are any bigger than us too
looking at their gates ... not at their backers we get people on here quoting our standards and NOT taking into account Patrick Crynes backing, with that in mind you take away the moguls backing the ones I said and they are no bigger really than we are.You can even add Portsmouth to that list
then you can say at least Plymouth and Burnley do not outrank us then and Preston are not that above us going by your judgemental basis.
