Send cards and try and get out for a meal together. When the kids were little we used to have a takeaway and a bottle of wine.
LOL I meant when the kids(especially Laura) were little it wasn't practical to get out as we didn't have babysitters/family backup to watch them whilst we went out. Laura could dip very quickly so it was easier to stay in and make our anniversary a sort of family occassion.
Know what you mean... "Making it a family occasion" - like trekking the streets on Halloween with young uns, getting them off to bed, and being so tired that you can't even be bothered to get a take away!! (Ah well lesson learned - don't choose a silly date to get wed!) (zzz)
RE: Try and remember!!!! Was our 8th yesterday.... didn't forget, but didn't exactly go with a bang either.
RE: Know what you mean... If anyone's having an early night tonight, it's me!! Youngest decided to go walkabout at 1.30am, 2.45am, and I finally let her creep in next to me at 5.ooam. Let's just say that there's not much work going on in this office today!!
it might be contencious on here at the moment, but I think I got an excellent gift this year.... totally out of the blue, the missus bought me a season ticket!!!!
I bought her some card making equipment.
Fair deal in my opinion.

RE: Pearl Necklace? she sometimes comes round the back of me when I'm on here so I have to be careful what I say.
We both forgot ours this year We both were reminded when a firend called us and wished us happy anniversary two days later. Our marriage is a sham.

RE: We both forgot ours this year Your story falls down when you mentioned a 'friend' calling or rather a 'firend'.

We go back to where we got married. Pop in the pool & gym. She has a facial. We have a meal. A nice bottle of wine or two. Then I rattle it into her gravy boat. I'm dead romantic I am.
