''Player Wages and deductions Under SCMP, 'Wages' relates to player wages only (director remuneration and general club staff wages are not included in the SCMP calculation). Player wages included in the SCMP calculation relate to all contract players (full contract, non-contract, multiplicity etc.) and loan players. Wage costs for players loaned out to other clubs are deducted for the period of the loan. Wage costs for Youth players on a professional contract are also excluded (i.e. players that have been in the club’s Youth Development scheme and have been given a pro contract); they must be 20 years of age or under at the start of the season to be discounted from the SCMP calculation. '' This might sound simple but when would you say the SEASON STARTS. Is that 9th August? Just wondering about Reuben Noble-Lazarus. Reuben's Birthdays on the 16th of August. Why I ask is in the Academy it's done by the School year. and he was just before the school year ended and was with players 11 months older than him in the extreme.
It's a good question. But I would imagine his wage will be excluded reading that, pal. I doubt that he's on much in comparison to most of his teammates though, but still, any cash saved is always good.
If you can get 3 players nailed in to your 23 first team squad that really helps I would have though. Say him and Digby are on 1250 each a week. Just a guess. 130K for the season. That might/Will be totally wrong, I don't know. say our TOTAL incomes 5.5Million we can only (I understand it's a lot but not in football) spend 3.3 million on wages 21 and over when the season starts. That 130k could make a difference. I'm amazed they signed a 21 year old Goalkeeper. Why couldn't they sign a 20 year old and then he wouldn't be included in the large part of the pie.
