Davey says on the main website that Barnsley paid a fair amount of money for Da Silva (not quoting verbatim by the way but that's what he implies). My guess would be circa £350k. On that basis, do football clubs actually insure themselves against players getting career threatening injuries in which case we would get some/all the money back? Or if Da Silva doesn't play again is that more Mossto /poo type money ie money down the drain?
Wondered that myself. He'll play again though, I've no doubt, it's just a case of when. Personally I don't think he'll play before November at the earliest.
usually, all players are insured asginst injury etc...... think the insurace covers a players wages whilst out injured, medical cost etc.... if a player is forced to retire through injury, the insurance should cover the players value...
