Do we have to pay a fee for Nyatanga this summer, also do we have to pay for Da Silva or is he paid for? Luke Steele it`ll just be his wages out of next seasons budget will it?

    TIA.

A fee has been agreed for Nyatanga with Derby

We've already paid for De Silva and Luke Steele is a free transfer.

    Nyatanga - yes
de Silva - transfer fee paid (although, obviously, not all at once)
Steele - yes (including signing on fee paid to player)

    Really don't know

But I think Paul Jewell is an utter peanut for letting him go. He's only 19 and he's already an established international. Whatever we pay it's an absolute snip.

    RE: Really don't know

Agreed completely...spoke to a Derby fan earlier this season on the way to our game at home to WBA - he couldn't believe they'd let us sign him.</p>

For the record I'd say around 300k - 500k...either way, I'm sure when we sell him, we'll make a profit

Sure I read an article few months back and Cryne stated money would be available regardless of what division we would be in. That was before the Chelsea / Wembley games too.

I don't know what next season's budget is

No one on here does, so it's difficult to assess whether it can be judged as being a good part.
If the inference is that there'll only be another couple of signings after Nyatanga & Steele, then I disagree.

RE: I don't know what next season's budget is

No inference at all I just think that after all the incomers last year and most on 2 years min contracts Davey will need to shift some out and that aint going to be easy. I don`t want us to not be able to bring anybody in because our squad is too big or to have a squad that we cant afford.

Oh I agree with you on that score

I've already said on previous posts that I can see certain players being moved on in order to freshen up the squad somewhat (eg. Reid, Ferenczi, Johnson, Mostto, Mattis, Christensen, Togwell, Nardiello).
As for making sure we can afford next season's squad, I have every confidence in Patrick Cryne making the right decisions. I've never seen or heard anything from him which would make me think otherwise.
