Well I wouldn't. I don't care what style of football we play, I want us to stay up, because if we go down, it could be for a long time. But I have the "luxury" of supporting from afar and not subjecting myself to torture every week or so by paying good money and watching defeat after defeat. I will take any victory we can get. COYR.

I agree, would rather go down playing good footy then see dinosaurs like Phil Brown turn us into hoof ball bullies. problem I have is whilst we do keep possession better than any bfc team for a long time, it's just played too slow to be effective going forward. anyone can set a team to pass the ball in the space the opposition are willing to give you, the key is to find space in the area they aren't, that is where we fail.

I would just rather we stayed up because if you don't want to see hoof ball bully football then you're going to hate league one. Whatever it takes to stay in this league.

Passing football is great, but I haven't felt entertained for months. this brand of passing football is without width and without effect. pointless. I'd like to see us score more than one goal in a game for a start.

Where has this myth come from that we play good football?? We play bloody awful football - ineffective AND boring.

Greening passing the ball backwards every time he gets it is not good football. The opposition will let you tip tap all chuffin' day once they realise how ineffectual you are in possession.

60% possession. Most of which is in our third of the pitch. Brilliant.

Im with you on that - I would loive to see good football where we pass and move and cut through opposition defences - we did do it a few times in patches at the start of the season but either lost something or opposition teams have figured us out. Jay got it spot on a couple of weeks ago with this post http://v2.barnsleyfc.org.uk/showthread.php?179363-Greening-receives-the-ball-in-acres-of-space
its just not good football - its painful to watch just painful in a different way to hoofball

I definitely want us to stay up but we wont do it until we play with more penetration - we dont have the players to play hoofball - just not sure if we have them to play football either - sideways passes in our own half may look good on the stats but mean nothing in terms of points or entertainment

Like I've said before, I don't think the manager is pragmatic enough to keep us up, anything else excepted.

I really cant, for the life of me,see where you think we are playing good football. Is passing the ball back and forth across the halfway line good football?..
we create hardly any chances and in all honesty only have the amount of possesion we do because the opposition are just sat back watching us carry out training ground exercises, every team has more or less got us sussed, and this is down to how the manager deploys his team,he offers no real alternative tactics when we go behind,so for me its down to him as to how we are playing.Having said that its not all his fault cause he's got his sidekick flitcroft and,as it is, the pair of them seem unable to do owt about the situation.

We play very good keepball but unfortunately you don't get points for the amount of sideways or backwards passes you make. Until we start moving the ball forward quickly and with purpose (still on the deck mind) then we will continue to struggle.

We don't have the quality of player to play a total passing game. We are not Barca and Perkins ain't Messi.

The opposition just sit back and let us pass the ball backwards and sideways in our own half knowing that our attacks will break down in the final third.

I'd like to be in Stokes league position rather then our own dismal position.
