Which Olympic sport has a finishing line you won't ever cross?

the line is there but electronically so it doesn't have to be a visible line. the line which i refer to crosses the water between two electronic sensors and as such the boat has to
cross that Line between the two points to generate a sound which indicates the boat has crossed a line to win. so, in essence the two electronic points are joined across the
water by an infrared line which when broken, sets off a sound.

 

so as i said earlier, the line is broken and not crossed over!!#
