A starter for 10: Why did you invest in Barnsley? Under what circumstances would you sell your stake in Barnsley? What's happening with the Stadium (i.e. between Pacific Media Group and the Crynes)? Where do you see the club in 5 years time? What have you learned during your 3/4 years owning Barnsley?
1) How does the Pandemic and the resultant economic slowdown, affect football clubs like Barnsley FC? 2) Does having a new chief executive, change anything in how the club progresses? A bit dull admittedly but that could equally describe me.
What community initiatives is the club looking at post Covid. In recent years some great work has been done in terms of strengthening the link between club and community how do we plan to expand/ reinforce this work.
Id thank him, i think we look strong on and off the field and we have a lot to look forward to over the next few years. So many clubs i wouldnt want to change places with.
Great questions. Plus: Is the negativity / hostility from a number of BFC fans towards you and the other owners affecting your long term aspirations for the club?
Id love to know the answer to this and would these fans care what his answer would be anyway. I would.
Biggest question for me is Oakwell. Obviously there's the legal case that is ongoing so I don't expect them to comment on that, but what would they like to do going forward? How do they intend to modernise? Aside from that, how is Brexit impacting the club, especially given we have multiple partner clubs under the same ownership group?
Negativity or not getting swept away? Owners of any football club are only custodians and I don't think it does any harm for the fans to hold them to account Chansiri for eg. cough cough!.
I see plenty of open hostility towards the owners, particularly on social media, and often directly at Conway. I've even seen racist comments towards Chien Lee in the past.
.....so would I love to know the answer. Don't think they would care; that group of people just want to see the back of him and the rest of the Board. It beggars belief really given how successful we've been since Patrick died on and off the pitch. We're a sustainable football club which has survived the pandemic in tact with a promising future and a plan for further development. Sack the Board!!!!!!! my arse
When are the dog turnstiles being installed? What's happening with the olive bar? That covers all my concerns.
Does he understand that lack of communication only engenders mistrust? Keep us in the loop a bit more, especially on things like CEO moves and ground ownership, and we are not far off being happy. If things can't be discussed in depth "for legal reasons", just a small word every now and again that "hey, we can't discuss that for legal reasons" would be nice. Barnsley fans are a lot more invested in the workings of the club than he could ever have anticipated.
