My parents went for tickets this morning, arrived at 9 this morning and were by the steps behind the Ponty End. The queue goes back past the shop and along the wall to the left of the shop, then past the wall of names, lottery office and club shop and into the box office. They got served at 11.15, and said the queue is still as long as it was when they arrived.
We got there half seven and I was able to look round shop then get later 0940 train. Most regulars will have got there tickets by close so the queue shouldn't be much bigger tomorrow. 7 onwards seems best bet if dont want to be in the cold for more than a couple of hours.
I got there at 5 to 9 and queued for the same amount of time as you. But I didn't get there at silly o'clock.
Front of queue got there anytime after 5am and only served 20 mins before those who got there two plus hours later. Depends on if they have 4 staff again, and how many tickets being bought. I think there was 42 in one lot when I was there with seven folk (but think might have got away with just being 6 of them to be honest)
I'm off down later for mine but just had a thought - I went to the Burnley game with my Dad (OAP ticket) so I've got 2 stubs, planning to get 2 adult tickets for me and our kid (both adult ST holders, he was away for Burnley match, Dad is away for City game) but do I actually need my Dads ST to get the second ticket rather than our kids?
Think you'll be fine. I used an adult Burnley stub with an OAP season ticket and they were fine with it.
I think that I was stood with them. We talked about the BBS and Cudworth and West Green. Are you the one that was still ligging in bed whilst they froze to death in the queue? Naughty corner for you young lad.
