Anyone been down today? Was Don right? Are Barnsley fans all ***** for causing the chaos and the queues have now subsided allowing me to purchase my tickets within a few minutes, or not?
Bit busier today by the looks of it. I went down at 5 yesterday and got my tickets in ten minutes. Went past Oakwell about half an hour ago and I'd say there was about 30 or so in the queue.
Got there this morning at 9.50am ................. ........... queue halfway down back of ponty, approx 150 folks?? got served at 11.20am ......... about same there when I left as when I started ........... oh and Real Radio have turned up playing a few tunes and handing out goody bags!!
RE: Got there this morning at 9.50am ................. Was there a manual to competent ticketing arrangements in those goody bags ?</p>
Some questions When should we start queueing to get the pink raffle tickets for a place in the general sale queue on Monday?.If I bring my Colchester stubs will the Supporters Trust show me to the front of the queue? If I have a Beam Back ticket and a Colchester stub will it give me priority for half time draw tickets at the Hull City game?
Went down at about 12:15 got the tickets in my hand at about 10 to 1. Queue was about as long as the box office itself (outside) It was very easy and no hassle. I even got a free cup of tea, you could also have coffee or cuppa soup (Y) There was a reyt (wnkr) that turned up. Would say he was around 60 year old, he obviously had come just to complain about anything he could find. Tw@t
Hang on so the queue was about the size of the box office inside, plus say the same again and it took 35 minutes. Don't you think that's a bit excessive? Its not like the box office sells a wide range of goods is it. Tickets for seats, thats all they sell
RE: Hang on The queue outside was as long as the box office window lets say. What slowed it down was people turning up with about 10 season tickets and people who had left the queue earlier in the day with a raffle ticket turning up. There were three tills open for Chelseas tickets and one open for Wednesday tickets which was cash only and limited seating up until the opening of the turnstiles at 2 o'clock.
So basically, the queue could, wth proper plans and procedures in place, have been more like 15 minutes.
Don't think that sounds any slower than it's been all the time. They were serving 50 people per hour and 25 people in half an hour sounds like the sort of queue he's talking about.
yeah but the point is that the queues could have been a lot less all week with proper procedures in place.
I suppose another till would have helped but there isn't a computer on any more than three of them so that can't be done right now. But yeh I suppose if someone could come up with a better way of selling the tickets then the queues could be shorter. I think we need to look into using technology a bit more. It's as thought we're still in the dark ages. But that aside I honestly didn't have a problem with waiting half an hour or so just to get the tickets, the service was good and no one complained (minus the one obviously)
Well if there's only 6200 season ticket holders there's maximum only 450 season ticket holders left to go. Which means there should be no queue by Friday and I can get my ticket without queing. Good old Don was completely right then. His procedures were perfect and it's us ***** causing the problem. Well you ***** cos I haven't got mine yet!
His procedure was always going to work with regard to selling the tickets. Just that the fans didn`t know which day it was that they had to queue for their ticket and what inconvenience they had to suffer for that right.
