Is @Bossman on strike or left for Oldham!? You've slotted right in, just like our new lads!

Strange game wasn’t it. They looked like they could give us a good stuffing , the goal was against the run of play and we didn’t deserve to go in leading, let alone 2

    then we blew them away

outstanding and game changing save from Roberts at 0-0

Yeah, thought it was going to be a real tight game, then as soon as we scored, confidence took hold and we started playing some good stuff. It was nice to see us not miss chance after chance, clinical today when it mattered.

Well done reds, now over to the board just to make sure we are fully covered in defence, although Shepherd was a real positive. Hoping the french lad will be decent, unknown quantity.

I honestly thought vale were the better team first half, their number 7 running the game.

He went off at half time - and it looked like the rest of them had joined him…

Like most on here I was sad and a little bemused when we parted company with James Norwood, but, after seeing the lads perform brilliantly without him the sadness has suddenly disappeared.
To see Shepherd, Chapman, Dallas and Slick come on and look assured and hungry bodes we'll for an exciting season.

I quite agree . I thought our first 20 mins was very shaky and we could have easily gone behind. But then , a superb interception from Okeefe, a great run and cross and there was Devante to finish it off. Wow, the ground erupted! After that , especially in the second half we played some great stuff. I know by the time we got our forth Port Vale’s heads were down and I know that one swallow doesn’t make a summer, but there was enough promise from the lads who came on , to make me think we could do alright this year.
