Started like a house on fire in the Yorkshire League. Unbeaten thus far. Away wins against York, Sheffield and today hammered Driffield. A cup victory aswell. It's a great, free, kid friendly day out at Shaw Lane. Free parking, no admission £, lovely venue for a day in the sun. The Yorks league is a very good standard aswell. Plenty of current/ex county players on show and very talented youngsters. Pay a visit while there's no footy action. Beats DIY & Meadowhall ;-)
I don't think it even beats being laid up in hospital or a month of night shifts, ni mind shopping and diy
Bank holiday weekend looks a good shout. We're at home on the Saturday and the Monday. Just depends whether we get typical bank holiday weather!
It's nice to see them doing well. Hopefully they will get back into the Black Sheep trophy. It's helping them that Azeem Rafiq hasn't found another county yet. A special mention to newly promoted Drakes Premiership side Moorlands who thrashed Hoylandswaine yesterday by bowling out the money no object team for 55.
Haha Just better when a team is successful by bringing through youth and living within their means. When Simon Kelly had Honley dominating for years nobody begrudged them. Now he's training the next generation they look like they are rising once more.
55 overs. If ya bowl opposition out you get their spare overs added on. So if ya bowl a side out after 45 overs you get 10 added to your 55! Bit strange like?!?
