I was hoping to make "regular" status tonight, too. Might just have to talk to myself. Again.

I'm waiting for Border Terrier to come online :pff

Could be in for a long wait, did you got to Oakwell today then?

'fraid not. Limited to very rare appearances since I gave up the season ticket 3(?) seasons ago. Being in the wrong country doesn't help (although it's no excuse as Tomi probably gets to more games than me these days). Did I miss much?

I dunno, I'm in a different country myself, mate!

    Albeit an attached one?

Yep, it's attached. Although, I'm sure they still wanna be independant, so feel free to cut them off and push them towards Norway, but let me leave first!

What country are you in? France?

    Aye, very perceptive :D

I take it you're not a local up there, then? Can't say I've spent much time north of the border but enough to know it'd be a shock for the Norwegians when they arrived!

Nah, not a local. Up here against my will!

There was a theory that if we have too many immigrants arriving at Dover at once, Britain will flip on its axis and all the Jocks will end up in France...I'm all in favour for trying that method!!

Sounds like a terrible plan - I wouldn't be able to tell what anyone's saying.

I've had that problem for the last 2 years.

It's not a bad place really, still miss the Barnsley accent though, compared to the Glaswegian one.

    Glasgow

Did some work for British Steel Distribution in Glasgow a few years back and my wife's family hail from there (Bearsden). Not really my cup of tea, though, mind you I'm not really a fan of cities at all. Any chance of time off for good behaviour?

    RE: Glasgow

It's alright, not into the city life myself either, prefer towns...a lot more laid back.

I have plans to escape over the borders pretty soon, so if all goes to plan I'll be back in England, bye bye language barrier!

Still, I'll miss their unhealthy lifestyle, have to admit that's great, apart from the haggis.

Nothing wrong with battering all your food(and women).

Different sense of the word "batter" for the women!

I haven't encountered deep fried veg, they probably have it somewhere. The rules seem to be, if it's healthy drown it in salt or brown sauce!
