I think given that Magilton spent £12m and Keane will inevitably have more to spend they are the exact sort of club from which we can pick up bargains. If he is a squad player for Ipswich he may be a good first team player for a lot of clubs. Foster from Burnley being a prime example

too true... but in what position for us?? at who's expense??

293 career appearances & 28 goals!! not exactly prolific??

Think he will be a good signing but not sure wot role he will play in the 11!!

Me too. Championship quality is what we have asked for, and Quinn is, even got some PL experience.

I'd be well chuffed if he signed. Good experience at this level and chipped in with the odd goal or 2.

Supposedly a good set piece taker too.

Maybe to replace yes, not sure about 'softening the blow', just an alternative option.

He int meant to be prolific he's a left sided Midfielder who can play at full back aparently, so he's defensive minded, he aint going to be prolific is he. Could do a job for us i reckon.

If we sign Quinn, will we still be interested in Hammill?

Well, we bidded for Hammill the same time we were after Charlie Adam so i'd have thought so. Hope so anyway.

Would be chuffed with this midfield - Campbell-Ryce Anderson Quinn Hammill.

Much more balance to the side too.

More mixed feelings from Ipswich fans

    http://www.clubfanzine.com/ipswich_town/v2.showNews.php?id=25665

    Edit: Sorry - same link

On balance taking those comments into consideration, I think he'd do well for us. He'd be appreciated more than at a club like Ipswich, who are impatient to get back to where they think they belong.
