Comments on this anyone? What's the other side of the story?
http://www.ukip.org/content/video-zone/1010-ukip-party-political-broadcast

Always said the Euro MP fiddlings would make our MPs like petty cash We hear of 'democracy' being our bed rock. But this Government and previous and future Governments will keep us in Europe, despite the vast majority of UK voters wanting out.
I liked the idea of the Referendum Party.
Major decisions put to the people. We'd never have signed up in the first place.

What I don't understand is how a political party can put forward candidates for a parliament they don't want us to be a part of. How does that work? I can understand why people would vote for UKIP in a general election, as then that party would have the power to pull us out of Europe, but in a European election? They'd be sitting in a parliament voting on laws and policy they don't believe in. Even if UKIP became Britain's major party in the European Parliament they still wouldn't have the power to pull us out of Europe. Surely, in the European elections, you want a party that has a policy of making things better for Britain within the constraints of the European parliament, not a party that wants us to be out of that parliament. Makes no sense to me.
RE: I liked the idea of the Referendum Party. Trouble was without Jimmy Goldsmith's falloos it was a no-goer, and evolved into UKIP
RE: What I don't understand You would need to vote for a party at the UK General Elections that would offer a referendum to the people on the basis theat if the majority wanted out, that would prevail.
I notice the UKip refuses to publish their MEP's expenses despite promising to do so 10 years ago. Still, only 2 out of the 12 were arrested for fraud during the last parliament so I guess they won't have anything to hide!
Looks like UKIP are as bent as the rest of the MP's Money laundering and corruption. Give me BNP anytime http://ukipwatch.org/
Difficult to get past the opening sequence. £40 million per day and £2000 per man, woman and child per year. If the first was correct (which it isn't) then the second can't be (it's ludicrous anyway!). Actual cost is £7.6 million per day (official figures) which of course you can say is too much. Why UKIP have to say it is £40million a day down the Brussel's plug hole I'll leave up to you. Is the EU worth it? Well it's been a pretty successful economic and poltical club to have been a member of in the past (inward investment, security, trade etc.). Even Nigel Farage says that hundreds of thousands of jobs will go if we leave. Also if we did pull out then I think our "special" relationship with the U.S. will suffer. Don't think they'd be so keen to see us become semi-detached. Seems a little ironic for UKIP to have a non-UK person standing as a candidate (well she lives in Spain). I'm always a bit suspicious of people who have been sacked dishing the dirt on former employers. Don't get me wrong - there is evidence of a significant amount of fraud when it comes to European spending. Not the best of times to be championing the probity of the UK parliament though!
Wasnt it E.U. money that helped ndmineworkers boost steelworkers and mineworkers redundancy payments after the big chops..... and dont say they were to blame for the closures that were something to do with a so called ??iron lady ?? scrap iron maggie

RE: Wasnt it E.U. money that helped ndmineworkers no it wasn't EU money it was our money that they have recycled and called EU money losing half of it in the process. Try looking into the black holes in EU accounting. It makes the scandal over MP's expenses look very trivial indeed!
