in damp proofing. I own a flat which has pretty severe damp (basement flat) which needs resolving. It comes through the plaster in the wall and takes the paint off. I imagine it will costs hundreds possibly thousands to remedy but if any one has any experience of this then I would be grateful, cheers.

go to BMBon waefield road and tell them, they sold us some stuff that solved our problem but cant remember name of it. down side is you have to take the plaster off the wall then apply stuff and then replaster.

I had bad damp - if you pulled the plaster away the wall was pouring out like sand. For the damp proof and plastering on one wall (about 24ft I think) was £1,000 and was a two day job.
