Yep, they didn’t even have to break a sweat, we were abject tonight. From around 10 minutes in we were woeful, looked like a team of no hopers. I haven’t seen AS many lads in a Barnsley team who are so poor at playing football. Can’t pass a ball 6 yards, can’t keep a ball in touch, can’t attempt a cross without putting it behind into the stand of hitting first man, can’t take a legal throw in, can’t attempt to kick the ball without swinging and kicking fresh air, cant clear a ball from defence with no danger around - we had all that tonight from multiple players. It was embarrassing. Basic things that have nothing to do with the opposition you’re playing, only to do with the ability of our players. I had some hope but tonight has sucked it out of me.

PNE were one of the worst teams to come to Oakwell this season and ended up with a 8-1 season aggregate. They didn't have to work for any of their goals and the second half was just a formality. I will give them credit for their tactics though. We are far too nice and sporting. Look at Pearson throwing the ball away in the middle of the field. Look at Browne with some of the challenges he got away with. What about Rafferty time wasting and stealing yards on every throwing he got? They knew how to work the ref beautifully with their shithousery.
They are in the play-off places and what you saw as limited I thought was tactically spot on . Their keeper made two good saves in the first half , second half they shut us down . We were poor , probably worst we’ve played since Preston away . Our corners were dreadful which didn’t help
They didn't get out of second gear but we were so poor they didn't need to. Our performance tonight was disgraceful.
