It is interesting what someone else said RE: the attitude of Everton fans towards Stones, I bet bury fans feel similarly towards us having largely dismissed who may well have been one of their better players

EDIT: Not quite the same league; looking back through their squads since the start of December he's only made 3 or so sub appearances, still an interesting thought.

I had a quick look online and cant find much cos he's only just consolidated his position in the starting 11, he's come through the Everton youth system, probably putting 2 + 2 together, maybe tipped off by Moyes.

 

Did he say why Bury hardly ever played him and why they cancelled his contract?

 

I've not dismissed him, or even commented about him. I know nothing about him and as such will reserve judgement until I've actually seen him have a run of games for us. Flicker obviously sees something in him.

Isn't there an Everton connection to our academy? Where's Hemsworth on the rare occasion that you need him?

It's likely that's where the Stones tap up originated too.

 

That was my first thought - it goes without saying that clubs at Bury's level need to maximise transfer revenue as much as they possibly can - so the fact that they released him seems a little odd to say the least.
