    On the future, he adds: "Dave Penney has done a wonderful job. There are two driving forces behind the club – my ambition is one and Dave's ambition is the other. We are both determined to push the club forward.
    "I know he was being considered for the Derby job recently but he did not want to go. I actually said to him 'you need another couple of years here before you manage a big club'. I would never stand in his way if a big club came in, but I would if it was Crewe or Barnsley."
