    BARNSLEY WANT TO KEEP FLETCHER

    Barnsley chairman Maurice Watkins is hoping to bring play-off hero Ashley Fletcher back in on loan next season from Man Utd.

    Fletcher, 20, scored the opener at Wembley as Barnsley won promotion back to the Championship.

    “It would be fantastic to have Ashley with us in the Championship, but we will have to open up our discussions and see where we get to,” said Watkins, who used to be a director at United.

    “I do know the people at United from my previous associations there – and that could help, you never know!"

    Thought we needed a bit of good news after Josh going to Bristol C and talk of Isgrove to Preston.
